CINDERELLA VS LUPITA!
This years Academy Awards were nothing short of spectacular. With the highlights including a stellar performance of Somewhere Over the Rainbow, by pop princess P!nk, followed by an evening of laughter with second time... host Ellen DeGeneres, and a particular highlight for all of the little girls, and young women pursuing their dreams of becoming an actress, watching the win, and speech of first time Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o. Lupita who is an recent graduate of Yale school of drama, won for her first ever Academy Award for her role as Patise in the now Oscar winning best picture 12 Years a Slave. After snagging a sag award, Essence Black Women in Film honoree Lupita stole the gold for best supporting actress. It is know wonder why Lupita has stolen the heart of America, with her dazzling elegance, poise, and grace, she carries a presence that simply delights in the moments lived. She recently expressed her bliss and shear humility as she sat at the actors round table early this year with fellow actresses, Julia Roberts, Amy Adams, Oprah Winfrey, Octavia Spencer, and Emma Thompson.
